Vocal Dojo Terms of Use
Effective 4 November 2026. These Terms of Use apply to the Vocal Dojo app only. Vocal Euphoria’s lessons and classes are governed by separate terms published on vocaleuphoria.com.
1. About us

2. The Vocal Dojo
The Vocal Dojo is an online singing warmup application, used in a web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. It includes guided exercises, an on-screen keyboard, a pitch checker and Echo, a listening game.
To use the Vocal Dojo, you require:
- a current web browser (such as Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox) and an internet connection, to sign in and save your progress;
- sound output (speakers or headphones); and
- a microphone, for Check your pitch, the pitch meter (A cappella in Big view) and Echo only. All other features work without one.
How the microphone is used is described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase the Vocal Dojo or to hold an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and refund the unused portion of the current year as described in section 8.
- A child may use the Vocal Dojo through the account of a parent or guardian, with that adult’s permission and under that adult’s supervision. The account holder is responsible for the account.
- The Vocal Dojo is currently sold only to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) and the United States, and the billing address of your payment card must be in one of those locations. We may extend availability to other locations in the future.
4. Term of access
- Each purchase provides one year of access, beginning on the date of payment.
- A gift provides the recipient with one year of access, beginning on the date the recipient creates an account (see section 9).
- Your first warm-up, free: a free account provides access to Exercise One only; Echo is not included. The free account ends when you complete the Exercise One Walkthrough. No payment is collected unless you choose to purchase the Vocal Dojo, in which case the same account becomes your full account and your progress is retained.
- Your access is personal to you. Your account may be signed in on up to three of your own devices at the same time (for example, a phone, a tablet and a computer); signing in on an additional device signs out the device that was used least recently. You must not share your password or your account. Keep your password private. If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and tell us.
- We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Vocal Dojo for your own practice for the duration of your access.
5. Prices and taxes
- Prices are stated in Canadian dollars (CA$) and are displayed before payment. Buyers in the United States may be shown, and charged, the equivalent price in US dollars by our payment processor. Applicable sales taxes are added at checkout.
- Payments are processed by Stripe.
6. Automatic renewal and subscriptions
Automatic renewal is optional. At checkout, you may select “Renew automatically each year”, which makes your purchase an annual subscription. This option is never selected by default.
- If you select automatic renewal: your access renews automatically at the end of each year, and your payment card is charged the renewal price shown at checkout, plus applicable taxes, until you cancel your subscription.
- Reminders: before each renewal, we will send you two email reminders, approximately 38 days and 21 days before the renewal date, stating the renewal date, the price and how to cancel.
- Cancellation: you may cancel your subscription at any time, online from the Your account page in the Vocal Dojo, or by email. You will retain access until the end of the year for which you have paid. No retention offers are made when you cancel.
- If a renewal payment fails: our payment processor will retry it over about two weeks, and your access continues during that time. If it still fails, your subscription is cancelled and your access ends.
- If you do not select automatic renewal: your access ends one year after the date of purchase. We will notify you by email before it ends, and you may renew at any time.
7. Price changes
- Prices may change from time to time. A price change does not affect any year for which you have already paid.
- If the renewal price of your subscription changes, we will notify you in your renewal reminders at least 30 days before you are charged, and you may cancel before the renewal date.
- If a renewal is charged at a price higher than the price you agreed to, you may cancel within 14 days of the charge and receive a refund of the unused portion of that year.
8. Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time and continue to use the Vocal Dojo until the end of your paid year.
- Alternatively, you may end your access immediately by deleting your account from the Your account page. We will delete your account and progress and refund the unused portion of your current year, less the payment processing fee retained by our payment processor on your purchase, to the original payment card, normally within a few days. Access received as a gift is not refunded on deletion.
- If you reside in British Columbia, you may also cancel after a renewal has been charged, and we will refund the unused portion of that year within 15 days; your access then ends, and your account and progress are kept.
Refunds are otherwise provided only:
- where required by law (nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection legislation);
- where a renewal price has increased, as described in section 7;
- where we close the Vocal Dojo early, as described in section 13;
- where the Vocal Dojo cannot be used because of a fault on our part that we are unable to correct;
- where we close an account because it belongs to someone under 18 (section 3);
- for purchases made with a billing address outside the locations in which we sell (section 3);
- for unclaimed gifts, as described in section 9.
9. Gifts
- You may purchase one year of the Vocal Dojo as a gift for another person who resides in a location in which we sell (section 3). A gift is always a one-time payment and never renews automatically.
- Gifts do not expire. The year of access begins when the recipient creates an account.
- A gift sent to the purchaser’s own email address is treated as a regular purchase, and the year of access begins on the date of payment.
- The purchaser may cancel an unclaimed gift by email and receive a refund, less the payment processing fee retained by our payment processor. Once claimed, a gift belongs to the recipient and is not refundable, including if the recipient later deletes their account.
- Gifts cannot be exchanged for cash. If we close the Vocal Dojo, unclaimed gifts will be refunded to the purchaser.
10. Your progress
- Your progress is saved to your account so that it is available on each of your devices.
- If your access ends and is not renewed, your progress is kept for 24 months and then deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Our Privacy Policy describes the information we collect and how we protect it.
11. Emails
We send the emails your account requires, such as receipts, renewal reminders and notices of changes to these Terms. News and practice reminders are sent only if you choose them, as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to the Vocal Dojo
We continue to improve the Vocal Dojo, and its exercises and features may change. Everyone with access receives the same version at the same time.
13. Closure of the Vocal Dojo
- If we decide to close the Vocal Dojo, we will normally stop new sales and renewals and continue to operate it until every paid year has ended, so that no one loses access for which they have paid. We will notify you by email.
- If we must close it sooner, we will give you at least 60 days’ notice by email and refund the unused portion of your paid year, together with any unclaimed gifts.
14. Acceptable use
You must not copy, share, resell or redistribute the Vocal Dojo or your access, attempt to circumvent the sign-in, or use the Vocal Dojo to provide paid instruction to others. If an account is shared or misused, we may disable it after notifying you of the reason. No refund is given for an account disabled for misuse, except where required by law.
15. Copyright
The exercises, instructions, text and design of the Vocal Dojo are the original work and property of Vocal Euphoria. You may use them for your own practice while your access lasts. They may not be copied, shared, resold, uploaded, redistributed or used for instruction without our written permission.
16. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, we may use them to improve the Vocal Dojo without owing you anything.
17. Voice and health
The Vocal Dojo is intended for practice and enjoyment. It is not a substitute for lessons with a qualified teacher or for medical, psychological or clinical care, and no particular result is guaranteed. Sing within your comfort, rest as needed, and stop if you experience pain. If you have a concern about your voice or health, consult a qualified professional.
18. Limitation of liability
We test the Vocal Dojo carefully; however, we do not guarantee that it will operate without interruption on every device or browser. The Vocal Dojo may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.
We are not responsible for:
- your device, browser, internet connection or speakers, or changes made by their manufacturers;
- services we do not control, such as your email provider (including emails filtered as spam) and our payment processor;
- how you use your voice: practice within your comfort, as described in section 17;
- use of your account by anyone you allow, including a child (section 3); or
- indirect or consequential losses.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Vocal Dojo is limited to the amount you paid for the year in which the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under consumer protection legislation that cannot lawfully be limited.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes apply to purchases made after the updated Terms are posted. If a change would affect your automatic renewal, we will notify you in your renewal reminders, and you may cancel before the renewal date.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. If you reside elsewhere, you retain any consumer protection provided by the laws of your province or state.
21. General
- Severability: if any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Vocal Dojo, and replace any earlier agreement or communication about it. Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
